June Updates

July 1, 2010 / 1 Comment

Apparently computers at public libraries are unequipped with SD card readers, so publishing pictures is still going to be elusive.  However, there might be pictures that show up on this site:

Tidbits:
– My toe infection subsided after purchasing new boots.
– We killed and ate two rattlesnakes that were in our camp.  Even if you’ve never eaten snake, it tastes like you think it would.
– Rattlesnakes can also climb trees, even ones you are cutting down.  They can also frighten you when you aren’t paying attention and look up and they are sitting right there.
– I have a thick beard and cowboy hat.
– A ’77 Trans Am might be in my future…

Miss y’all.

To Be Surprised – Sondre Lerche

May 6, 2010 / Leave a Comment

This song is pretty great. A light driving rhythm if that makes sense. Then for the pre-chorus it dives into these vocal heavy bars which leads into an extremely sappy yet great chorus – “when I wrap my arms around you, every mistake we made crumbles…”

Not superb lyrics, but one of those songs that’s like eating a pack of Gushers. It gives you a short high, but instead of sugar it’s a high off of good pop construction. So either listen to this song or eat some Pixy Stix.
